Error Message Street Art | Jilly Ballistic

These wonderfully quirky and frankly, refreshing faux dialog boxes which have been cropping up all over New York are part of the latest series of works by Brooklyn-based street artist Jilly Ballistic. Taking contextual cues from the adverts which they adorn, many of which are shamelessly consumer culture driven or low-brow movies adverts, the error messages provide a much needed commentary to these things which we’ve allowed to shout at us, unchecked, for far too long. Comprising most Mac alerts, there has been one Windows-style popup sighted, displaying the message ‘We’re sorry, the product you are looking for is currently under maintenance due to a lack of quality.’

It was over a Coors advert. What?! The banquet beer?!
