Driverless Sleeper Car | Dominic Wilcox

The British designer Dominic Wilcox has created this model of driverless cars by imagining a future where all cars are controlled by computers. Named “Stained-glass Driverless Sleeper Car” and was represented at London design festival 2014. “In the future it will be safer to drive in a driverless car than it will in a manual car,” said Wilcox. “Therefore we don’t need the protection systems that are built into contemporary cars. We can just have a shell of any design.”

The pod shape of this car is created by wooden arches using a cutting machine numerically controlled, and made from colored glass panels, that were attached using the copper foil technique method. It is attached to a flat base threw a hinge at the rear. Inside this vehicle there are not controls like any car due to the designer imagination of controlled car.
