Autodesk has released free download versions for their main software packages, including AutoCAD, Revit, Maya, 3DS Max, Inventor, Fusion 360, and Sketchbook, which are now accessible to more than 680 million students and teachers in more than 800,000 schools and universities throughout the world.

Autodesk has announced that the software will be free for academic institutions in the United States , then it has gradually expanded free access to its leading design software to academic institutions across Asia Pacific and Europe.

“The way we make things is changing rapidly, and we need a workforce ready to design for new manufacturing and construction techniques. By providing free professional design tools to students, faculty members and academic institutions around the world, we’re helping get industry ready for the next phase,” said Carl Bass, CEO, Autodesk.

You may download the software by visiting this link, you have to create an account and place the order by entering the website of your college (no need to prove registration). The software license is valid for three years, but after this period you can renew.
