One thing that can be said about nature, is that it’s usually not ugly. Through the scales, from massive rock formations all the way down to the molecules that make life, beauty is there. Inspired by this, the designer Leonardo Rossano and the Brazilian architect Deborah Mansur, created DNA… the bench.
A modular bench meant for public spaces, it is composed of a continuous band of plywood which twists around to create 3.5 seats. The last, cantilevered seat at the end, appears to be a sit-at-your-own-risk seating arrangement.
