Devonian + Cambrian explosions Amniosya
Two quasi-similar pieces of furniture, one very interesting concept. The Devonian table and Cambrian couch, designed by Amniosya, are created from the idea of the mutation of a piece’s function through the selective removal of the integral part- this being glass for the Devonian and pillows for the Cambrian. The works came out of research into the possibilities for design concerning itself with ‘metaball’ topology (n-dimensional objects).
