COCOON EVO | Mediterranean FabLab + Co-de-iT + PicernoCerasoLab

The Maker Faire is a showcase of innovation and creativity dedicated to promoting advancements in all fields ranging from tech to design.

With this goal in mind, COCOON EVO demonstrates an exploration of new materials, machining capabilities, and unique forms.  The temporary pavilion was a collaboration between the Mediterranean FabLab, Co-de-iT, and PicernoCeraso Lab with fabrication by Tekla.

Its ring-shaped form utilizes Etalbond panels to not only give it structure, but also to attain the installation’s seamless aesthetic quality. The faceted surface is emphasized with the black and white coloring which also manages to highlight the individual panels that make it up.
