Cloud City | Makerie studio and photographer Luke Kirwan

The New York –based paper artists the Makerie studio collaborated with the London-based photographer Luke Kirwan and produced this cloud city which is an amazing project inspired by Moroccan architecture , decorations carved and sculptured into buildings and places that look almost impossible to make.

Several detailed complex patterns and layered iridescent paper were used to produce these weightless-looking buildings. Every structure has something inside it, you’ll see a fountain, a flowering tree and more. It’s the story of a floating patterned city. Kirwan used hazy and dreamy colored backgrounds to show the complexity of the details, also his way in exposing the light showed realistic scenes.
