Inspired by traditional Chinese culture, the tower takes the shape of the ancient ‘dou’ or ‘ding’ vessel a symbol of wealth, dignity and stability. The diagonally-braced structure pulls inward at the base to form a symmetrical V-shape across the south façade.Using a diagrid lattice as base structure, the floor plates align and widen as the tower increses in height. The huge central atrium adds more to the lightness of the tower. This also allows for natural ventilation and sunlight.Sky gardens line the upper floors and a big winter garden with mezzanine VIP club and meeting space sits on top of the building.

From the exterior, the entrance is majestically marked via a 30 meter A-shaped canopy that stretches 72 meters across the ground floor.
The 20 storey CITIC Bank Headquarters will add to the colorful skyline of this part of Hangzhou.
