Chengdu Competition Entry | HMD New York

HMD New York is an independent design firm based out of New York with partnerships at design firms around the world.  Apart from their affiliations in London, most of their offices are located in the Asian cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Chongging.

This team of over 180 employees is dedicated towards innovation of design practices and sustainability that will enrich the lives and communities of their clients.

HMD New York works on varying scale projects, which is clear from the images of the connected tower design competition entry for their Chengdu project. This mixed-use development is composed of two towers connected by a large green atria space on the bottom floor.

By linking the hotel tower to the office building, the firm is exhibiting their desire for connecting people and ideas with spaces and places. This unique and complex environment is meant to exceed requirements and expand imaginations.
