Architects Given 5 Days to Submit Design Proposals for Trump’s Border Wall

5 Days to Submit Design Proposals for Trump’s Border Wall:

Donald Trump seems too eager to keep his campaign promises, one of which is the construction of the border wall between the US and Mexico. All the moral and financial hindrances to the project would not stop the US president as he sets the date for the submission of design proposals for the wall, so soon.

Last Friday, the Department of Homeland Security issued an open call for a border wall design proposal. However, the announced period for the submission of these proposals will, only, be 5 days long, from March 6th to March 10th, and the finalists will be chosen by March 20th. Finally, the contract will be awarded by mid-April.

There has been already multiple proposals for the controversial project, but they all fell into the ‘sarcastic’ category, among which is Ikea’s border wall and Estudio 3.14’s pink wall. The project will cost approximately $21 million, according to a leaked report by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and will take a duration that may exceed three years.
