The Amman Rotana Tower designed by AS Architectural Studio is one of three major towers in the IT sector of Amman, Jordan’s new downtown. It stands reminiscent of a sail, soaring over the city, with a swallows-tail cut on the one side. The hotel’s program is composed of a main atrium, pubs, restaurants, an exterior swimming pool, a winter garden and a panoramic lounge bar. The lower volume is glazed, with an interior volume growing out from within. It acts as both a tie between the interior and external spaces and volumes as well as in effect a raised podium deck surface. The pool is located on this level, with a great view out over the city.
