The 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Shelby Cobra 427

Shelby Cobra 427, rewinding to 1965 takes us back to the year of a great innovation in the automobile industry: the birth of the Shelby Cobra 427. A legendary car which was meant to change the driving experience was created by Shelby American. Now, half a decade later, the 50th anniversary of the Shelby Cobra 427 is being celebrated.

The Shelby American Vice President of Operations describes the car as “the purest expression of Carroll Shelby’s vision of a performance car.” A limited edition of 50 iconic cars is to be made to honor and celebrate the Cobra’s heritage and uniqueness; each of which will bear a golden anniversary badge; this is to mark its position in the line of produced vehicles, starting with 1 of 50.

The collection will be available in bodies of either aluminum or fiberglass. Models with an aluminum body will be available in polished aluminum, giving the Cobra a metal finish, or painted in Guardsman blue with Wimbledon white stripes.

However, the fiberglass-bodied cars will be only offered in the painted version with the Wimbledon white stripes. The custom leather seats and black carpeting of the car’s interior make it an even more rare and desirable vehicle. The strong, masculine character of the Cobra 427 definitely makes it the most remarkable car yet in 2015.
