The project KALEIGROSCOPE focused on the idea of hygroscopic; an adjective which describes absorbing moisture from the atmosphere, also the idea of morphology which focuses around the structure of a specific biological organism without the necessity of knowing its exact functionality.

Therefore Hygroscopic Morphology becomes a study that considers the changes in structural properties of a given material, and how its molecular composition may absorb water found in our atmosphere. The materials used in the installation can also gain the ability to undergo slight movements where researchers have also considers adding artificial systems that are similarly used in architectural and engineered designs.

Hygroscopic Kaleidoscope, or known as KALEIGROSCOPE provides an interesting atmosphere for visitors to be immersed in inviting naturalistic elements that reflect the colors from the surrounding landscape. Changes in relative humidity is also visible and is shown through slight mechanical movements of the wooden exterior leaves. The interior consists of a reflective surfaces which distorts and bends the wooden texture as well as reflect the natural colors from the mountains in Valldaura.
