Memorable Work, New Zealand-based designer David Trubridge has a number of memorable works, most recently his new book called So Far.
His collection includes pieces of furniture, lighting and jewelry as well as being involved with various commissions and collaborations. With a team of 20, Trubridge’s work space incorporates a showroom, design studio and large workshop where all the products are manufactured.
Even though technology and computers have had a vast impact on the design process, his belief in craftsmanship continues to play a key role in the creation and execution of new designs.
Alice Hellyar is an Architect and Craftsperson in the Columbia River Gorge of the Pacific Northwest, where she has practiced since 2011. Her work includes custom residential design with a focus on site specific homes. She is continually exploring the relationship between the natural world and the built world, which inspires her work. Alice is licensed in Oregon and Washington and is an AIA member. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
