This work by LA-based artist Megan Geckler, titled Rewritten By Machine On New Technology, just concluded its instillation at Lancaster, California’s Lancaster Museum of Art and History.A site-specific work of coloured tape ranging from an exterior of red, to yellow, to white- is arranged in a gigantic vortex filling the centre of its display space.
The work’s scale is hard to discern until one views the video detailing its construction- the base is approximately 20 ft². The colour changes give the work an inherent sense of movement and artificial glow.
