The Bartlett Globally Ranks as Second Best Place to Study Architecture

Based in London, the Bartlett School of Architecture officially ranks as the second-best place in the world to study architecture globally, according to QS world university rankings.

Located in Boston, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has beaten the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL), making its way to the top of the ranking with a score of 96.5. The ranking list compiled by the higher education data specialists QS uses wide-scope criteria to produce the table. These criteria include not only academic reputation but also employer reputation and research impact.

Retaining its position since 2017, the Bartlett School has managed to stay in second place for two years in a row.

On the other hand, the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands comes in third while the University of California Berkeley(UCB) occupies fourth place and Harvard University is ranked fifth.

Professor Alan Penn, Dean of the Bartlett School of Architecture, has stated, “This recognition of the research and teaching within the faculty is a testament to everyone’s hard work at The Bartlett and across UCL. We’re investing to further improve the student experience and with the opening of Here East later this year, The Bartlett continues to be a unique and truly world-leading faculty for built environment study”.
