A globally leading architecture & design practice Aedas has been selected to design the Zhuhai Hengqin International Innovation Park in China after winning the announced competition.
The high-tech signature of the industrial facilities incorporates the natural elegance of the surrounding landscape and mountains with fluid curves, forms and greenery gracing the steel, concrete and glass structures. It will be the new architectural eye candy to attract and house thriving startup businesses and future entrepreneurs.
Positioned in a vast area, the complex will combine public technology platforms, conference and training centers, exhibition spaces along with retail and serviced apartments to create a new breathing living and working community. Ecology and urbanism in a symbiotic harmony will present a leisure park and a piazza with water features.
The exteriors – honest in their dignity – will become the new regional commercial mecca, nurturing prosperity and economic growth. The buildings give a sense of being entirely glass, structure and services – a major urban-renewal project to complement the serenity of nature with high-tech grandiosity.
