Astronomy Complex by Mrwa Muhamad Saeed
My name is Mrwa Muhamad Saeed from Egypt, this is my graduation project idea for this year (2012). it’s called; Stargazers “Astronomy Complex”.
Project concept; Science, Space & God, I am using these keywords to create a complex that reflect the space & Astronomy science & high tech in Architecture which consists of Research & Entertainment facilities; the main concept of the form is Contrast, Separation & Integration, that was achieved by using the contours found already in the site to subtract between the form which lead to : 1-The contrast between the contours lines & the straight lines of the two cubes. 2-Separation of the two cubes which contain different uses (research & entertainment) 3-Integration between the site & the form by confirming the plaza created by that mix which collect people from the two cubes.I am using Parametric design which was achieved in designing my form and elevations design, also using the photovoltaic cells on the roof of the research cube.
