5’000 Amazon Staff Move Into Norman Foster’s £290 Million Principal Place

Amazon has announced that they are going to be moving in their UK office from their previous one in Slough which was their home for amost 16 years into the previously put on hold Principal Place, designed by by the world renowned Foster and Partners.

Principal Place is located in the Shoreditch area of London which is a buzzing, and vibrant London hub that has undergone a radical transformation in the recent years.
This impressive  – 600,000 sq ft, standing at 15-storeys high – office building incorporates a mixed-use scheme consisting of premium office, residential and retail space and  multiple roof terraces offering views across London.

The £290 million project also proposes a new public piazza that comprises half an acre of public realm and also acts an events space.
As part of its mixed use scheme, the project includes more than 20,000 sq ft of retail space, including cafés and restaurants offering alfresco dining.
