10 Design Reveals Masterplan for Seafront Development along Mediterranean Coast in Egypt

International architecture practice ‘10 Design’ has revealed their masterplan for “Jefaira Seafront Development” along the Mediterranean coast in Egypt. ‘10 Design’ will be working in collaboration with Egypt’s leading real-estate developer INERTIA to release this project which spans 550 hectares, extending for 3km along the coastline. The developers visualize the project as an environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable “world class” residential and tourism community, which celebrates both Egyptian culture and Mediterranean context.

“In order to create a truly sustainable development, a wide range of public amenity areas are provided with strong interconnections,” added Gordon Affleck, Design Partner at 10 DESIGN. “These amenities are clearly defined and organized around outdoor spaces which are activated by programs and functions”

The masterplan includes 10,000 to 12,000 residential units, in addition to community facilities like schools, colleges, a sports academy, swimming pools, and a health and wellness center. That is beside the ample tourism facilities which include marinas with promenade cafés, restaurants, retails spaces, hotels, and convention centers.
