The Ongoing Façade | Zacharie Gaudrillot-Roy

The first thing we notice when going to a city is the facade of the buildings. Building ornamentation sets up an idea of happens in each with in. The ongoing façade series presented by Zacharie Gaudrillot-Roy, is a series which illustrates images of city landscapes with just the facades of buildings that occupy them.

These landscapes include cities, small towns, parking lots; urban pathways that illustrate the deficiency of constructions mass and the apparent building materials of brick and concrete facades remain.

Gaudrillot-roy imagines what happens behind the building walls as he passes through foreign cities, glows from lights though windows, voices of laughter or tears, noise from televisions.

These are unknown to the by passers of the street. These images offer a vision of an unknown world where to the walking city would view façades with out intimate space.
