Kish Commercial & Cultural Complex | Mohammad Mahdi Tavafzadeh
The algorithm design is specified from a network points that were placed based on the value and importance of the points. Then the point were processed in the grasshopper software. Finally, a clear and even surface was obtained. In addition to respect the nature, surface, provided the spaces functional needs.
The recommended site is located at the Northern beaches of the coral Kish Island with hot and humid climate without topography. In the design of this site which is in contact with natural environment, creation the feeling of unity between commercial and cultural functions with climate is important.
In order to optimize the surface, two effective factors were used to the optimizing process of form was done by two factors, see view and sun light based on algorithm and data processing. In this regards, to have the appropriate sea view at all regions of the surface an algorithm was written for the view of sea and beside that the calculations of the sun light were done by plug in diva with attention to minimum amount of sun light.
The surface was optimized by Galapagos based on two factors, sea view and sun light. Galapagos is one of the components of optimizing in grasshopper and from thousands shapes, the optimizing form was selected and fulfilled the requirements.
Since the site is located near the sea, coral shapes were used in order to design elevation and landscape that shaped like waves above the surface of the form. In addition, in places with lots of sun light, these shapes are small and in places with less amount of light based on the view of the sea, the shapes enlarged.
