S. Joao Street Party Installation | FAHR 021.3

A typical street party in Portugal is known as ‘S. Joao,’ which pays tribute to Saint John the Baptist. This temporary installation is a result of a community workshop by Portugal-based FAHR 021.3 architects.

The ‘S. Joao’ structure reinterprets this festive street party environment with shiny hanging boxes.

These forms depict colored ribbons that decorate the streets and fireworks that are launched into the night sky.
