Brilliant paintings interacting with their surrounding environment now take over the streets of Paris. Street artist Charles Leval, aka Levalet, is the man behind these wheat paste characters.

The artist tells their stories through a black and white medium combined with simple props that give an edge to the art pieces and merge them with real objects.

Levalet uses strong light and shadows in his paintings that would make pedestrians directly recognize them as drawings on the walls and not truly existing people. His characters are doing odd things such as blowing in a cord, playing with electric box and hanging from a pipe or just sitting by the window enjoying a glass of wine.
