Donald trump; the republican billionaire and America’s presidential candidate had announced his intention to build a wall around the southern border. However, all he said about the description of this wall is that it will be “tall”, “physical”, “powerful”, and “beautiful.” From his point of view, this wall is a thing to prevent the illegal immigrants entering the US.

A group of interns at Estudio 3.14, started to visualize their perception of Trump’s wall. They had produced renders showing the wall in a pink color just to celebrate the Mexican architecture, referencing the Pritzker Prize winning Mexican architect; Luis Barragán. Also, they thought a wall painted pink will be as “beautiful” as Donald Trump wanted it to be.

Estudio 3.14 said that “However, he continues with his verbal plan. As architects and designers, we have the capacity to imagine and interpret what Trump is saying and we are convinced that if we can make people see it, they can assess his words and the perversity in his proposal.”

The rendered sarcastic project shows the huge wall in different imagined positions including mountains, the river, and the border city Tijuana. The documents also included various drawings; floor plans, 3Ds, and elaboration info-graphic.

“Based on Trump’s statements, the economic, ecological and financial aspects have been called into question,” Estudio 3.14

The pink wall would by a self-sufficient wall containing healthcare center, administrative offices, prison and a shopping center. Moreover; it could offer a viewpoint over Mexico City.

The studio 3.14 interns elaborated that the wall would be more like a prison for classifying the 11 million people with no documents. The immigrants would also work in the services the wall is offering all day long to provide the needed payments for the wall.

“It’s an easy decision for Mexico: make a one-time payment of $5 (billion)-10 billion to ensure that $24 billion continues to flow into their country year after year,” Trump said on his campaign website.

‘Given that Mr. Trump wants a very beautiful wall, we turned to the work of the most famous Mexican architect in the world — Luis barragán — that with the beauty of his walls, he attained the Pritzker prize and reinvented Mexican architecture.’ Estudio 3.14
