Concept:

Time and space are the two fundamental paradigms of all sport racing. In our artwork’time sapce continuum we will raise public’s curiosity and questions towards these two distict concepts. Whats time? Is time physical or psychological? Is time absolute or relative? Is time and illusion? Is it dividable? Is space time composed of multiple frozen moments ‘time slices’? The idea of the project is to mimic a certain scientific truth to the concept of the universe. Adopted a new vision ,that the universe reached by modern science, where the infinite vaccum contains multiple dimensions (one tenth dimension) and these theories are reached by science in this late century. But as we come back to the simplest concept developed by Einstein’s concept of the universe where the added dimension of time to the universe and considered that the time and the relative time. Vaketlh which is the energy and strength to attract strong retina to the universe. The Designer tried to combine between two concepts: First, a concept which is based on the design of the city where the grid consists of the basic elements of the city roads and buildings and squares. And between the second which expresses the universe where the universe is distorted by the retina of the block of any particle.

Materials used:

HI-MACS® is the Solid Surface material of the “New Generation”.The mineral material consists of approximately one third acrylic resin (polymethyl methacrylate or PMMA) and 5% natural pigments. Its main constituent, with 70%, is the natural mineral aluminum hydroxide (ATH) obtained from bauxite (aluminum).

HI-MACS® is produced on a steel conveyor belt in the form of sheets or as moldings in a modern manufacturing process that meets high safety requirements .The material is heated in a progressive tempering process (Thermal Cure). It is a two-stage thermal curing process at high temperature. This second stage in the thermal process is what sets HI-MACS® apart from other mineral materials and produces a new and stronger compound in which any structural defects are perfectly evened out. This improved structure automatically affects the quality of the material.

The intelligent combination of acrylic, natural minerals and pigments to produce HI-MACS® produces a non-porous, smooth surface that meets the most exacting hygiene requirements and offers a number of benefits over conventional alternatives. HI-MACS® is superior to conventional products, such as marble, granite, glass, ceramic, laminate or polyester, especially on account of its flexibility and the possibility of seamless joints together with ease of reparability.Location: Lebanon – Baabda – Hamana, passing along the road that connects international Sham Bekaa Baasamh Beirut.

The property is located at an altitude of 1500 m. The reasons for selecting the site:

1. Low humidity.

2.Away from the city and hence the lack of light pollution, which hampers the monitoring process.

3- NORT Project
The (NORT) «Network of Oriental Robotic Telescopes» is a network of 2-m diameter telescopes to be implemented on high mountains of the desert countries from Morocco to China for the participation of many countries to nowadays Astrophysics and Space Sciences. This project was initially selected by the General Assembly of the United Nations (UNOOSA) the 13 December 1996.
Sites Selection for NORT Observatories
Analysis on light pollution, altitude between 2000 to 3000 m, cloudiness, aerosol index and sandstorms, humidity show that The best sky observing places of the world are located between (-10 to +100).

4-Intermediate between the various Lebanese areas, which facilitates student access.

5-30 km from the international airport in the capital Beirut, a distance longer close for students and visitors who come from different diameters of the world through this airport.

A simple definition: space metropolis and is a mini-city of scientific research concerned with the space and the development of technical equipment and astronomical observatories, to monitor outer space , Tencot emerging generations and especially the Arab knowledge of this science and expand their knowledge of astronomy.

Elements of the project:
Zone 1-Research Departement facility with Residential Units for researchers.
Zone 2-Theoretical section, which consists of rows and ATELER for various branches and disciplines related to space with attached housing units for students.
Zone 3-Consists of public and Space Museum, a temporary exhibition and a permanent exhibition, cinema shows films and documentaries, a large lecture hall, a public library and Med Services of cafeteria and restaurant and some shops.
