Reclamation Overpass | Aseel Bseiso ,Farah Shaker ,Layal Mashal , Nisreen Kilani.

The Gulf of Aqaba is Jordan’s only outlet to the sea and its primary industrial center. It has unique geophysical and chemical characteristics qualify it to serve as an oceanic model and enable to study oceanic processes by competent, qualified and experienced people in marine sciences whom Jordan lack. Understanding the sea and its myriad life forms is very important for maintaining marine ecosystems and their services for human well-being.

It happens by creating a home to Marine Education Services, promotes interest in marine science through educational programs designed especially for researchers, students, and interested general public. This academy is dedicated to the three central functions (research, education, and outreach). It is a leader in marine sciences education, which encourages field work, practical training, and applied research which are essential components of most of the educational programs.

The Gulf of Aqaba is renowned worldwide as a tourist’s paradise overflowing with wildlife and magnificent coral reefs, it hosts about 1300 species of fish and corals that are threatened with extinction! Many environmental problems and irresponsible behaviours caused by lack of awareness and ignorance are leading the marine life to an ugly future.

This project hosts solutions for most of the environmental and mental problems, in addition to suitable sustainable features which will promote healthy well-being in the future and save the Gulf!
Concept Reclamation: the conversion of wasteland and make it suitable for habitation.

The Project will be the bridge connecting the two ecosystems – The Sea and the desert mountains – solving the environmental problems. Also reclaim the land with the rehabilitation of waste water and corals whilst spreading the awareness and education.
