Paper Mammals

Nature is acknowledged to be the most ingenious form of inspiration. The young Argentinian artistic couple Juan Elizade and Carolina Silvero must consent to this notion. The couple has found its passion in crafting paper mammals using the ancient art of paper folding or Origami. The latest event by the two artists was an exhibition of giant Arabian paper birds in Saudi Arabia last month. This was met with a tremendously enthusiastic response.

The method employed into making these marvelous paper creations starts by analyzing photographs of animals and studying them from various angles. The proportions then are figured out on the scaled paper models. These measurements are taken into the computer where these creations get designed and printed on low poly paper. And finally they are cut and folded into their origami avatars.

According to Miss Silvero: “The pieces we enjoy the most are those where we can combine some of the low poly animals and objects with some illustrations to make a scene and tell a story.” From birds and foxes, to humpback whales and tigers, these are some truly incredible model animals to be created entirely by origami.
