Legos. Legos. Legos. No we’re not talking about the Nigerian port city, we’re talking about those Danish plastic bricks! This series of birds created by British artist, Thomas Poulsom- a tree surgeon and ‘Lego monster’.

Now I am enough of a Radio 4 listener to know that ornithology is much more of a thing in the UK than it is in the US, but today sitting out on my porch I saw 4 midair dogfights between a pair of finches protecting a chick and a pair of blue jays.

The finches won, it was brilliant. But I may need to go get myself a bird book. First dogfights and now Lego birds, it must be a sign. The colours and proportionate block sizes used, really make these follies a very enjoyable aftermath indeed.
