Neil Barrette ‘Shop in Shop’ | Zaha Hadid Architects and Peter Schumacher

A unique display landscape was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects for Neil Barrett’s shops. With “Shop in Shop” as the concept, a single solid object was divided into sixteen separate parts by a carving and moulding process. Selected pieces are featured in pairs in the four Neil Barrett shops in Seoul as well as the shop in Hong Kong .

Adopting the same design principles of the Tokyo Flagship Store, the pieces create a multileveled display landscape unique for each store as well as a strong dialogue between the different shops.

With a flexible modular system, the display landscape adapts to specific locations and multiple situations to create an original space at every spot. Also, the pieces can be placed individually or combined applicable to the scale and space of every shop.
