Marc Thorns + THEVERYMANY have created an amazing sculpture/world that almost defies explanation- it certain defies classification. Constructed of 10,322 parts with some 202,290 holes, this structural cloud-like construct is a real testament to what can be done with today’s technology blending computational design with human ingenuity and persistence. The best part is its apparent fragility and light-weight visuality- because it is only apparent, it can hold a human being. Geometry really does rule the world and it isn’t confined to only cartesian geometry. I think Schwarzschild would be proud.
