80 tones of ice from a Greenland fjord placed in the middle of Paris, in front the Panthéon. That was Artist Olafur Eliasson interpretations to raise the climate change issues, in collaboration with the geologist Minik Rosing he managed to create a huge installation at the COP 21 (United Nations Conference on Climate Change), made up from only melting ice bergs.

”As an artist I hope my works touch people, which in turn can make something that may have previously seemed quite abstract into reality. Art has the ability to change our perceptions and perspectives on the world and Ice Watch makes the climate challenges we are facing tangible. I hope it will inspire shared commitment to taking climate action.” Said Eliasson.

This piece goes by the title #IcewatchParis, and it’s definitely making strong effect on passers. Though Simple in appearance but with large impact, melting away in Paris.
