Flatland | Aydın Büyüktaş

Inspired by Edwin Abbott’s book “Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions”, or maybe by Christopher Nolan movie, “Inception”, Aydın Büyüktaş reimagined Istanbul urban fabric in a photo set called “Flatland”. This surreal photo set, which has been taken using the drone and produced by photographing different angles, focuses on many iconic places in Istanbul, such as; Kadikoy Tuesday Market, Grand Bazaar, Eminönü Yeni Mosque, and Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.Aydın Büyüktaş is a Turkish photographer born in Ankara in 1972, dropped out form Bilkent University Tourism Management Department because it was not his future dream. After having improved himself in the fields of visual effect and 3D animation, he focused more on photography.
