CHROMAesthesiae | SOFTlab, Jose Gonzalez and Michael Szivos

 SOFTlab has created an interesting installation, The CHROMAesthesiae. It was completed just in time to arrive at the spring Devotion. The installation is a thriving range of color that blooms with in the ceiling in high distinction gradated cylinders. SOFTlab is studying the spatial and chromatic perception of space in this installation design.

The form was created using modularity as a hub modal quality so successfully create the intricacy and repetitive form. This installation allows for quick expansion or narrowing of every piece formed. “Everything changes,” is the motto SOFTlab goes by to achieve the aptitude to adjust and grow conceptually supports their entire collection of art.

The design team used laser cut paper structures put together with binder clips to craft this customizable installation. Objects used for every day purposed are reused and precisely recombined.

The forms of the installation change and vary in color as a viewer moved through the exhibition.
