Calvin Klein HQ | MVSA Architects

Calvin Klein HQ

When Calvin Klein started looking for a prime location for its new European HQ, Amsterdam was an obvious first choice as a trendsetting city of fashion and culture. The new CK headquarters will be realized in the Houthavens district, earmarked by Amsterdam Council as a ‘creative hub of excellence’, a place where showrooms and the like are not only welcome but encouraged.

The location of the Calvin Klein HQ is right at the tip of the Houthavens dock and, with its height of 50 meters, will form a majestic landmark on the banks of the IJ. The slightly cantilevered volume of 11 stories has a dynamic look that fits this unique location. It will include up to 12,000 sqm of showrooms and offices.

The interior of the building distinguishes itself by its open plan layout with transparent walls. By making communication easy, the building will engender an industrious ambiance whenever required. And the exceptional degree of flexibility will make presentations come to light in every sense of the expression. Each floor will offer superb vistas over the city of Amsterdam and the surrounding waters.
