America’s best Architecture & Design Schools is an annual survey by Design Itelligence, for the Design Futures Council. The 16th annual survey was conducted this year in mid July and provides inside from the ”perspective of leading practitioners”. The participants are selected from the Design Futures Council database, from all over United States, who are first verified if they had recent practice with hiring and supervising architecture projects. Also, recent graduates of both architecture and design specialities are invited to take part in the survey.

This year, a total of 1426 opinions were taken into account, as they offered an answer to the question “In your firm’s hiring experience in the past five years, which schools are best preparing students for a future in the profession and designing a sustainable future?” In order to make an informed opinion, additional questions are asked, regarding teaching and learning useful skills, such as design, communication, sustainability and technology.
